LEGISLATION UPDATES:
2026 is the The Arkansas General Assembly budget session, known as the "fiscal session," is an annual meeting in even-numbered years focused on passing state agency appropriations bills and balancing the state budget. Established by a 2008 constitutional amendment, it lasts 30 days, prioritizing funding for education, healthcare, and corrections without raising debt.
The Regular Session begins in early spring of 2027.
